Martin Rooney is an internationally recognized fitness expert, best-selling author, and sought-after presenter. Martin has his Master of Health Science and Bachelor of Physical Therapy degrees from the Medical University of South Carolina and also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Science from Furman University.
A former US bobsledder, he is the creator of the Training for Warriors system and former COO of the Parisi Speed School national franchise. His TFW System is now operated in over 250 facilities worldwide and over 5000 trainers and coaches have been certified in his TFW Certification program. Martin’s training programs have been used by over one million athletes and adults.
Martin has delivered presentations to Fortune 500 companies such as Marriott International, Nike and Hasbro, Military Organizations like the Army Rangers and Navy SEALs, and he consulted professional teams like the NY Jets, Cincinnati Bengals, Carolina Panthers and NY Giants. His university clientele has included Arizona State, Alabama, Oregon State, Rutgers, Brown, West Point and Montana State. Martin is regularly in front of over 10,000 people per year and has also lectured for Adidas, the National Strength and Conditioning Association, the UK Strength and Conditioning Association, the Finnish Coaches Association, Perform Better, ACSM, IDEA, and camps for Nike. Martin has trained athletes from the NFL, MLB, UFC, NBA, WNBA and numerous top Division I colleges across the country. He has also trained numerous Olympic medallists, All-Americans and World Champions.
Martin has written five best-selling books for Harper Collins and Wiley publishers which have sold over a combined 200,000 copies.
